MEETING SANTA URSULA CLASSIC CARS

Here we have a bunch of pics taken this morning at Santa Ursulas´Classic Cars meeting. First Jesus in our stand. The Kat (Tenerife Aircooled Kolective) was one of the few clubs which had a stand with viedo, music and swap-met.


In this post I´m only going to show some of the KAT´s aircooled wagens and some other we didn´t know. Eduardo´s nice T1 kombi....

GERTRUD´S RESTO part six

At last some changes can be seen. She has been totally painted and polished and re-assambling has begun...


On the nose only the wiper arms are missing, waiting to be painted in black...


The front windows frames are off..


Inside seats, mats, and door panels will be re-installed soon...


The tail is ready, only the plate is missing. The tubular cage has been painted in the same colour than the bumpers...


And that´s all up now. She must be painted under the floor for rust protection and given parafine coat inside the doors and some points to `protect her´..

GERTRUD´S RESTO part six

Here we have a Gertru ready to be painted in Blue Neptune inside the "oven"..


The weels are silver again...



The engine covered as it is not going to be taken off its compartment...

The bumpers and the second canopies have been painted yet...

Things are being slow this week as only the cargo doors have been repaired, primmed and are ready to be painted...



Well done welding work....



Nice & smooth aspect.... better in Neptune blue, of course...


The tail corners are also ready. Soon more pics!!!

Today more primming took place as welding work is almost finished. The cargo bed & the right side a ready to be painted...


The cargo doors have a much better aspect...


The only rust in the windscreen was welded & primmed, it disappeared!!!

The passenger seat belt fix bolt has a new section welded...

GERTRUD´S RESTO part three

Another brick in the wall as Pink Floy sang...
Some surface rust in the seat belt bolt (behind passenger´s seat):


Tha cargo bed primmed and ready to be painted in Neptune blue...


The welded sides have been coated and smoothed with sandpaper...


The fuel tank compartment doesn´t seem to be so bad, dirty but not rusty


Thw Great Welder, Master Chucho, in action, repairing the cargo doors with new steel


The masterpiece soon afterwards...
