KIKO´S DELUXE BUS RESTORATION
Kiko proudly introduces his nice kombi walk-through Deluxe, a barn-found one lost in the woods of our wondeful island......
The previous owner: it was a deal!!
The inside as it was on top of the tow truck...
It was full of used spareparts and materials...
The day we brought the bus to Kiko´s home and eneterd the parking with no brakes at all!!!
A lot of good work to be done......
The passengers floor looks like the Flinstones´....
The bus present state: body cares are being done and rust is disapearing as well as new repairingpanels await to be welded...
The walk-throungh cabin was dismantled, the nose de-welded and a new nose will be put in its place soon...
The doors, the glasses, the interiors...everything is kept carefully and orderly stored to be re fitted when the body resto finishes...
The gas tank was emptied, cleaned and painted outside & inside as well
The gearbox was sucessfully refurbished and awaits its turn to be reinstalled.

GERTRUD´S NEW SHIFT PLATE INSTALLED
After isntalling the shift plate and the quickshift on my Doka Giulia, we decided to change Gertrud´s shift plate to avoid that noisy sound that she made sometimes when entering the 2nd gear...
The 1st step is to unscrew the gear stick mounting and to pick it out carefully...
Once removed the gear stick, we could see the damaged shift plate to be replaced...
The gear stick was carefully washed with gas and re-greased again before putting it back in its place:
It was a difficult task, as with Giulia it was quite simple, but Gertrud´s gear rod system was a bit different and it took us more than 20 minutes to fix it properlly in its housing...
This is a general view of the gear stick and shift plate once dismantled...
At last Zeben & el Gofio succeded and it runs great!
