PRECIOUS SIGHTING!!!!

Yesterday was a grat day! Eduard gave me a spare used engine he had as a present and after picking it up we made a wonderful discovery....


A T1 Doka parked outside a garage waiting to have the brakes done! Even though she needs a lot of welding and body repairing she looked nice...gorgeous...


The flowers had been stuck to her by his proud owner and they are his company logo...

Inside was better than outside. The upholstery was in good condition but the door panels were not the original ones...

Looking her from behind...One of the latests T1s sold in the Canary islands!

It made a nice day: a given engine and an old Doka rescued from agony in a junkyard...!

TREASURE HUNT

Last Friday we went to see a great treasure: our friend Eduardo had invited us to vivist his uncle´s garage...a must to see!!!
There were some very fine Mercedes Benz in such a good state that it was impossible to believe that they have never been driven along the island roads!

DOUBLE CHECK

Last Saturday Gertrud & Guanchita (two of our Dokas) had an appointment al the local Vehicles Technical Inspection Unit. So we gathrerd soon and in a rare rainy day off we went...

We try to protect our "girls" from the rain to avoid rust anywhere, so this is a rare sight:

Fist gertrud went throught the line: start up, lights, rolls, undercarriage inspection, etc...

And later Guanchita had her time with some surprises as she didn´t want to start just before entering the garage line!!!
In the end, they got the pass and they´ll have six months more to ride free...Meanwhile poor Gloria still awaits for a new engine block to substitute hers...

2008 LAST RIDE WITH FRIENDS.

Yesterday we had this year last ride with friends. Sandro invited us to join himand some aircooled families from the north of the island to have a nice time, talk about our projects and share a meal

So, after leaving the meeting point at the PCan station, we drove north to Garaxico

It was a nice day, a nice ride with good friends. In fact we had so great time that I forgot to take more pictures...sorry!

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND 4000 CLICKS!!!

And Christmas came and we reached 4000 visits! Thank you all! Our best wishes for a Merry Christ mas and a Happy New Year full of new projects and illusion...

RUNNING UP THAT HILL....

Last Sunday members from the different VW families from Tenerife gathered to go on pic-nic to one of the highest sites in the island. It was a sight at the parking where we meet to start: T2, T1, Dokas, Kombis, bugs, Kubels...


And after one our we set off to adventure!!

Here you have this wonderful Kombi T1 in our pinewood forest..

But before reaching that high point, we had to go up the hill through a long and winding road (as the Beatles said...)
