A RETURN TICKET ENGINE...

Today, Carnival Tuesday, we took Gloria´s engine off to see what the hell was going on wrong with it.


It took Jesus & Jose 3/4 of an hour to leave it on the floor for the second and last time ( I hope so...)

Then we dicided to practise a little of weight lifting and we put it on Guanchita´s cargo deck...

And later... back home for inspection and dismantling. In a week or so I hope to have it running again!!! I´m really fed up with driving only watercooled rides!!!

TENERIFE AIRCOOLED BROTHERHOOD

At last the dark side of the aircooled nation gathered to have fun, a nice chat, some beers &rums and to plann our first non-official meeting as we do not consider ourselves a club, a society or anything formal at all. Friends & cars (BKS, Doka Club, S/C Aircooled Surfers...), that´s all!

NEW ENGINE PROJECT FOR MY DOKA...

As the songs says, "...witha little help from my friends", Eduardo & Enrique, nice chaps and better people, I got two free engines.
First remember that my doka Gloria´s engine was refurbished with new cylinderheads, but unfortunately the crankcase bolts were loose and it began to run in a hopelessly way losing power as a low- battery toy ...

Eduardo gave me this AB engine supposed to be a 1300cc for free. A bit rusty and dirty it´s solid and surely will run if started...

But then Enrique sent me this AD crankshaft case in perfect order, with no axial movement and ready to carry all the other components and run...

Soon we´ll start it all over again: 3 engines plus some extra spareparts, enough to build up two new ones: the installed one and a spare engine just in case something goes wrong or maybe the heart of a forthcoming project, who knows????

RAINING PLOT ON NORTHWEST TENERIFE

Today was a strange rainy day in the north of the island and we decided to gather a small group of ours for a chat in the rain....


El_Gofio was happy to ride his machine in such a nice company...

The sedans looked wonderful under the raindrops...

This is a shinning example of an owner´s love and devotion ...
