This is the story of a special Golf MK I built in Germany by Nordstadt. This GTI had a Porsche V8 engine taken from a 928 model.
As it can be seen on the first pic, compared to the regular GTI, it was wider, much wider...
But if found on a highway it was difficult to spot the difference at first sight. So you may imagine Ferrari and Porsche driver´s surprise when they saw it approaching on the mirrors...
